Ingredients
-
500g pork mince/sausage meat/ or pork & beef mince mix
-
2 Tbsps WinkiPop Dust
-
½ cup breadcrumbs
-
1 egg (lightly beaten, for binding)
-
3 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
-
1 extra egg (lightly beaten, for brushing)
-
Bancoora Bagel Seasoning (for topping)
Directions
Prepare filling: In a large bowl, mix mince or sausage meat, WinkiPop Dust, breadcrumbs, and one beaten egg until well combined.
Assemble rolls: Cut puff pastry sheets in half. Place a line of filling down the centre of each strip. Fold pastry over and press edges to seal.
Egg wash & topping: Place rolls seam-side down on a lined baking tray. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with Bancoora Bagel Seasoning.
Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C (fan-forced). Bake for 25–30 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed, and filling is cooked through OR for airfryer, preheat to 180°C, cook for 12-15 minutes until pastry is puffed and golden and filling cooked through. Larger rolls may need 18 minutes.
Rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Perfect dipped in tomato sauce while watching the footy.
Recipe Note
You can add grated carrot and/or zucchini for a lighter filling if you prefer. Mixing beef and pork mince results in a richer flavour.
